WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. . .

	Registration is free to all residents of Mason County.  Nonresidents must
pay an annual fee of $5.00 unless they are a student of a local elementary or high
school.  Children must be 5 years of age to receive a library card and parents are
responsible for all items checked out. Patrons must be 18 years of age in order to
check out videos or music CD's. The limit is 2 videos per household for overnight
useage. Two music CD's are checked out for a two week period.

Books, Audiotapes, and Magazines may be checked out for a two week period and may be
renewed unless they are on a reserved list. Telephone renewals are accepted.
There is a limit of 10 items per card and patrons must have their white plastic card
with them in order to check out materials.

The overdue fines for late books, audiotapes, music CD's and magazines are .05 per day.
The fine on videos is $2.00 per day per tape.  Lost and damaged materials must be
paid for as the patron is responsible for all materials checked out to him/her.
